Rodarte. Chez Target. Need We Say More?

Following in the footsteps of McQueen, Loomstate, Thakoon, and literally, Anna Sui (who drops her Gossip Girl line right before, in September) and about a million others, the American duo behind Rodarte (sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy) will soon lend their design expertise to a low-budget line affordable to all of us “normal people.” I’m sure I am not the only one who can’t wait to see how deconstructed Derilict street wear (and I mean that in the best of all possible ways) translates into “one of America’s biggest retailers,” but we all know the sisters Mulleavy are up for the challenge. Target promises a 55-piece line that will be very feminine, yet also very modern, to be sold starting December 20th through… February 6th (Yeah. RIGHT). “Holiday dresses” will be one of the features of the collection. I’m already getting Holiday anxiety just thinking about it!

Mom, what do you think?!

Need more help familiarizing? You won’t be sorry. These gals know how to wow.

Ummm?! Need I say more?! Okay, fine: Chloé Sevigny in Rodarte.
