Who knows how to party? JAPAN FASHION WEEK knows how to PARTY

Né-net; Almost as utterly bonkers as the Lauren Conrad collection!

Get excited, my darlings—Japan Fashion Week is upon us and that means a real muthereffing show. Yes, the Japanese tend to walk on the wild side, and yes, this sometimes means (gasp!) treading heavily on the “impractical” but who the FRICK cares. Aside from the unveiling of the first-ever model robot—um, yes, a model…that’s a robot—Japan Fashion Week was up to its old, fabulous tricks.

What we’ve already seen: Motonari Ono, Né-net (Crazytown, ya’ll! Um, see above), matohu, KAMISHIMA CHINAMI, THEATER PRODUCTS, and mindesigns.

What did we like? So glad you asked!

All the warm, golden yellow, that’s what we liked.

Also: why is it that when one slips in the ever-so-subtle surgical flair an ensemble’s cool factor immediately goes through the roof? Because it does. The Japanese understand this…perhaps taking a hint from British band CLINIC who are known for performing onstage donning surgical masks.

What’s on tap for today, you ask? Oh, lots of goodies!
suzaki takayuki, YUMA KOSHINO, TAKUMI HATAKEYAMA, The Dress & Co., and Aguri Sagimori among them
Stay tuned. The party is just getting started.
